There's no need to stand in line at Lady and Sons for two hours to get fried chicken and collard greens -- you can get good country cooking at Debi's Cafe on State Street without the wait. I eat here about twice a week.

This is the kind of view in Savannah that can cause a person to be spiritual. You have to look up, though, and not stare at your shoes.

The church architecture tends to be mostly Gothic, but you'll also see, as in the next picture, Roman and Greek influences.

The Greek and Roman style is definitely more ordered and authoritarian than the mystical gothic style.

The attention to detail and the principles that inspired the creation of these styles shows a more thoughtful, philosophical approach to building than what we see with most modern construction.
