One of the cool things about River Street in Savannah is watching the boat and shipping activity along the Savannah River. The port is just west of River Street. From just about any of the restaurants you can watch the cargo ships, boaters, cruise ships, tugboats and ferrys going up and down the river. The huge cargo ships look unreal as they seem so close and so biger-than-life.
