The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa overlooks the Savannah River and is located on Hutchinson Island across the river from River Street. My wife and I spent two nights there when they first opened just to experience the views and the ferry ride. Well, I also played golf at the Sam Snead designed course behind the Westin.

It is next to the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center and is a great place to stay for conventioneers -- it is a great place to stay period. The views are excellent, especially if you can get one of the rooms with a balcony. There is a spa, four tennis courts, a heated pool, a 400-foot deepwater dock and an awesome workout room.
