Just south of the Downtown Historic District, between Gwinnett St and Anderson St, is the Victorian District. There are many large, stately homes throughout the Victorian District that have been renovated, are being renovated, or are in need of renovation. This area has been coming alive for the past few years as many buyers are finding the charm and the lower prices, as compared to downtown, appealing and a good option since it is only minutes from the Downtown Historic District -- a good walk if you are into walking.
