Godley Station In Pooler, Ga.

Godley Station is one of Pooler's most popular communities. Located off Pooler Parkway, close to the Interstate 95 exit, it is about 5 minutes from downtown Pooler, Ga., about five minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from downtown Savannah, Ga.

There is a variety of homes ranging from the 200s to the 500s. Prices have remained stable for 2007 with no huge increases.

There is a golf club near Godley Station called Crosswinds which is semi-private. Some feel that being semi-private it creates a more crowded condition - others, who play only a few times a year, see it as a positive because they can pay to play without paying the costs of joining. However, I have never seen the course overly-crowded, and the fees to join are not prohibitive.

There is a clubhouse with a community pool on the main road going through the various subdivisions. There are also town homes and apartments for those who prefer less maintenance. New construction is still going on, plus there are resales on the market. Some of the best builders in Savannah have built at Godley Station.

All in all, Godley Station is a very active, enjoyable community with lots of beautiful homes, convenient to shopping and dining.
