Why This Website Is For Buyers

Most real estate websites are designed to advertise and sell listings for Sellers. I have designed this website to help Buyers make smart, informed decisions about Savannah Ga real estate. I have provided a link to the local Savannah MLS (Multi-List Service) so that Buyers can search all the listings in the MLS database. I have not included any of my listings in a separate page.

A large part of my business is representing Buyers in the process of gathering information about certain areas in and around Savannah in order to make smart decisions when relocating and purchasing a home. For most realtors, listings and Sellers are thieir life-blood, but for me Buyers are my life-blood.

I will be posting Savannah Ga information in the journal here to help familiarize Buyers with different areas and trends. I welcome feedback and questions. Don't get me wrong, I do take listings and work with Sellers, but I do so on limited basis and if I am representing a Buyer who becomes interested in one of my listings, I advise them to get a Buyer Agent so that the will be represented with no conflict of interest. Is this necessary? I think so. many agents would call me foolish for offering to split my commission when I can represent both sides, but I don't believe in dual agency unless both sides totally insist on it. However I will always advise that both sides be represented by different agents.

I will explain in future posts why I have come to believe this. The main reason is that I want each deal to be fair and I never want to poorly serve a client -- I definitely don't want to mislead a client.
