    Victorian homes in Savannah Ga

Lately I've been showing homes in the Victorian District to several investors and one couple who want to get a good buy on a Victorian home that needs restoration. While the restoration in the Victorian District has slowed, it hasn't stopped, and now the prices are much better than they were three years ago.

You can probably hire labor at a lower cost in this economy, so it still makes sense to restore if you are going to hold the house for over five years. Once you've seen one of these old Victorians restored, you can look at the ones in disrepair and see what's possible. It's hard work, but it's rewarding -- I've done several now.

The main thing is to get a top notch inspection so you minimize surprises. I don't like surprises.
