To me one of the best locations to live in Savannah, if you like water views and want to be right in the middle of the downtown action, is in a condo along Bay Street (come to think of it, it may be the only location where you get downtown and river view, except the higher ones being built on Bay). You have an incredible view and all you have to do is go downstairs to be right on River Street.

You can buy one below $500,000. This is a lot of money, no doubt, but the view matches those in other cities where you will pay over a million. There are condos already renovated along Bay Street and there is raw space zoned for condos to be built out. You might want to opt to build out so you can design it like you want it.
