Savannah GA, West Chatham New Home Sales Comparison

southbridge.godley 296.jpgI decided to check on the prices of new construction in West Chatham county so I retrieved statistics from our MLS database on homes built within 2 years of 2008, 2007 and 2006 to get a comparison - this is what I found.

521 homes sold built within two years of 2008 with an average price per square foot of $108.34, with 89 days average on market.

476 homes sold built within two years of 2007 with an average price per square foot of $117.14, with 57 days average on market.

463 homes sold built within two years of 2006 with an average price per square foot of $112.95, with 92 days average on market.

So more new homes sold in 2008 but at a lower price that in 2007 and 2006. The days on market were about the same in 2008 and 2006, but significantly higher than in 2007.

It looks like a lot of people are taking advantage of the lower cost per sq ft.
