Savannah Ga Real Estate Series: Rice Hope

rice%20hope.jpgRice Hope is a new development on Hwy 21 going toward Rincon, about 5 miles from the I95 Port Wentworth exit. Not only is the residential development in this area, single family homes and townhomes, there will also be commercial development.

It's also close to Hwy 30 where many subdivisions have been built over the last few years. About 20 minutes from Savannah, the Rice Hope community seems to be in contention for one of the better developments around Savannah. It appears the goal is to create a homey, neighborhood feel that characterizes the south. The home styles have a southern feel and the community, once finished, should offer an inviting lifestyle for those who like community, openness and socializing.

This is a community development that will be family-friendly, and it will be close to the South Effingham school systems which receive accolades for their quality educational experience. Rice Hope is only minutes from Rincon, the largest city in Effingham County, where there is more shopping options and services.

This is a development to watch for those who want to be close to Savannah, but far enough out to avoid the hustle and bustle of city living. Home prices will run from the 100s, for townhomes, to the 500s. You will be able to get more square footage for your money compared to homes in downtown Savannah or the Savannah islands near water.
