More and More Renovation in Savannah Ga
Monday, March 31, 2008 at 01:09PM I thought the national slowdown in the housing market would affect the renovation in Savannah ga, but it appears to still be healthy. I'm almost finished with the renovation of the place I bought on 39th Street near the Starland Art District. I will be looking for another shortly.
It's a continuing fascination to watch the old homes regain their character and neighborhoods being restored. If i wasn't so old and muscles didn't get so tired, I'd think about renovating full time. There's something very satisfying about working with the hands and rebuilding something old into something new while preserving it character.
in a few years I predict the whole area from Victory Drive to Gaston St will be mostly renovated and walkable, urban neighborhoods will be restored -- businesses will follow with little shops and diners and art galleries sprinkled here and there. Some people aren't attracted to that living style, but I am.
If you are interested in renovating older homes, email me at Mike@MikeFarmerRealty.com and I will let you know some the options I think are doable.
