    Homes on Tybee Island

pierwaterfront.jpgThere are PLENTY of condos and single family homes on the market on Tybee Island. I've noticed quite a bit of price reduction lately.

Although Savannah in general didn't experience the price bubble many areas of the country experienced between 2002 and 2006, Tybee Island experienced a mini-bubble and now prices are adjusting. This may last for awhile, but it may not. Even though Tybee Island had some serious appreciation, the prices are still lower than a lot of other ocean towns along the Atlantic coast.

There's a possibility sales will pick up this summer as people begin looking for vacation homes, rental investments or retirement homes. While Tybee proper doesn't have a lot of features other beach towns offer, it's close to Savannah and a perfect spot for a beach house and access to a happening little town where you can find great dining, entertainment, art and culture.
