Dear Mr. and Mrs. Baby Boomer
Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 01:49PM Allow me to introduce myself and offer my services.
I need to send this introduction out across the country because we are moving into a period of baby boomer retirement and it will begin changing the face of the U.S. I predict a large shift in population for the next twenty years with the south and southwest growing in large numbers. I started seeing this about 5 years ago and each year the numbers increase.
People have a freedom of movement greater than at any other time. The choices are many. What I am finding through correspondence with people from all over the country is that baby boomers getting ready to retire or semi-retire are using the internet to search the country for places where quality of living is high, the cost of living is low and the weather pleasant.
It's difficult to find places, other than really small towns, in the south that don't have a huge mixture of residents from different states all throughout the U.S. The number of natives is outnumbered by out-of-staters.
I'll leave the sociologists to analyze the results of this mixing of cultures. I tend to think it'll be a positive reult.
What I've designed as a business model is an internet presence to meet these buyers online during the information-gathering stage and help in the process as a relocation specialist and a local information expert.
If you are planning to move -- Allow me to introduce myself and offer my services.
Mike from Savannah
