Ellis Square and News Place in Savannah

The Ellis Square project is making progress. The underground parking is complete and next they will restore the square above adding much greenery to that area of downtown Savannah. The News Place building appears to be in its final stages of completion. It will be good to see all the construction completed and the eye-sore removed. It seems now like that area has always been like that .

This should be a big boon for City Market and i expect fierce competition among businesses to get a spot in City Market in the future. I wonder if City Market will expand -- it seems likely it could expand to the west.

The economic situation has everyone down at the moment, but things will change in time and this should be a robust area of town. Keep the spirit!
